June 22 to July 8, 2012. Established as a family owned business in 1921, our core values have remained the same as the 4th generation enters the family business. Our family and our team of managers share the vision of providing the highest quality service and products while maintaining traditional values and integrity including a pledge to reduce the environmental impact of the Fair. As Jersey’s largest single family event, we strive to provide a fertile environment for innovation and creativity. State Fair Meadowlands is a place where families may enjoy quality rides, plenty of free entertainment, exciting games and prizes as well as a wide and diverse selection of delicious foods. There are a variety of activities to interest all ages.
Careful planning and a concerted effort by all involved to develop and promote the Fair as a place where families may enjoy an exciting and affordable day of special activities is always our mission. In the 10 years that we have managed this Meadowlands event, there has been resurgence in the number of families that attend and enjoy the various attractions that this annual event has to offer. Over 99 percent of the respondents to our exit survey stated that they absolutely had fun and planned to return to the fair in subsequent years. This high percentage of satisfied patrons has been earned by a lot of hard work and dedication to our patrons and our vendors. |

Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, 2006
This year, Macy's 4th of July fireworks show will include six barges in three locations: the traditional area between East 23rd and East 42nd Streets, just south of South Street Seaport, and between Liberty and Ellis Islands. The show starts at approximately 9:00 pm. |

America's most decorated Battleship is now the area's most exciting museum, open for tours, events and overnight encampments. Exploring “BB62” is experiencing history in a whole new way. Not only do you see exhibits of artifacts from the ship’s past, but you are put into the exhibit as you go through the tour route. Sit in the chair from which Admiral Halsey commanded the fleet. Stretch out on the bunks where the sailors slept. Climb into the 16” gun turret and learn how the projectiles were loaded.

Our Festival began 49 years ago in the parking lot of our school an elementary school rich in Catholic and Polish
Traditions. Our festival consisted of arts and crafts and of course our wonderful Polish Homemade foods. Our Festival
was on a Saturday and Sunday and held in September just after school started.

Celebrate Brooklyn! is back in Prospect Park for its 35th summer of providing a wide variety of exciting programming at the Bandshell. Congratulations to the Executive Producer of Celebrate Brooklyn! Jack Walsh, BRIC President Leslie Schultz, BRIC Board Chair Lizanne Fontaine and everyone at BRIC Arts/Media/Brooklyn for creating this wonderful festival. We know that this year’s line-up will entertain long-time Park fans and attract a whole new generation to discover Prospect Park.

Following a tradition which has been molded through the years by hard-working citizens of Spencer, the county seat of Roane County, this year's Festival promises to provide a whirlwind of activities, offering something for everyone.
The creation of one of this state's best attended festivals began in 1954 when Henry Young sold two million pounds of black walnuts. Young's sale of the local product gave a member of the Little Kanawha Regional Council the idea of developing the black walnuts into a cash crop for local farmers. |

The SOS Fall Festival began in 1997 from a desire by the Shrewsbury High School Alumni Association to plan an event in conjunction with its Homecoming Weekend. The Annual Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival committee is comprised of all volunteers who coordinate all festival activities and is self-funded by the generous support of the community to:

October - King Richard's Faire is a vivid recreation of a 16th century English marketplace at festival time. Actors, dancers, puppeteers, jugglers, minstrels, mimes, magicians and musicians perform each weekend for the favor of his Royal Highness King Richard.

Groundhog Day, February 2nd, is a popular tradition in the United States. It is also a legend that traverses centuries, its origins clouded in the mists of time with ethnic cultures and animals awakening on specific dates. Myths such as this tie our present to the distant past when nature did, indeed, influence our lives. It is the day that the Groundhog comes out of his hole after a long winter sleep to look for his shadow.

September/October - Baltimore Book Festival! The mid-Atlantic's premier celebration of the literary arts features 200+ nationally known and local authors, poetry readings, cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs/cookbook authors, children's writers and activities, live music, food and more than 75 exhibitors and book sellers.
Located in Mount Vernon Square, the Washington Monument overlooks the festival site and offers the perfect location for a weekend outing. |

October - Bridge Day is the largest BASE jumping event in the world, held on the third Saturday in October every year in Fayetteville, West Virginia. Over 450 BASE jumpers and up to 200,000 spectators are expected to attend this year’s Bridge Day on Saturday, October 21, 2006. The New River Gorge Bridge is the world’s 2nd longest single arch bridge, providing the launch point for six hours (9am-3pm EST) of legal, safe BASE jumps.

December 31 - The New Year's event is special because it brings people together in a positive, interactive way - a way that combines the arts with the concept of responsible celebrating. Each of the past 14 years as many as 20,000 people of all ages - teens, singles, families, children and grandparents filled the streets of historic Annapolis enjoying an alcohol-free and drug-free celebration.

2012 marks the 64th Virginia Highlands Festival and will be held from July 28 to August 12. Appalachian culture showcased in crafts, art and music.
The festival was started in 1948 by Robert Porterfield, founder of the Barter Theatre, as a simple one-week festival to showcase Appalachian arts and crafts. The festival has now grown into a 16 day event offering a variety of venues. Every year hundreds of volunteers work to create exciting new events for our festival for you to enjoy. The 2012 theme, "Carved from Our Past." Our 2012 signature art is a wood carving by this year's Signature Artist, John Dickens and will be unveiled soon. Please enjoy our beautiful mountains, forests, and streams while here and all the activities planned for you throughout Southwest Virginia. There is something everyone, old and young alike. Based on the interest in her book, Haunted Newport, local writer/editor Eleyne Austen Sharp first proposed the idea for Haunted Newport Week in 1996. The annual event would celebrate Halloween while helping to extend the Newport tourism season.

We are a charity event, founded by Gypsy~Rose, that raises money for local non-profit orginizations. If you'd like to help support the NH Renaissance Faire & Samhain Celebration there are LOTS of ways to do so, (buying tee-shirts, steins, magnets or mugs, ad space, donations, art work and more).
This event is run by volunteers and is hosted in a *gorgeous* location in Kingston, NH. There are infinate amounts of things to do at this event; shop for local handcrafted arts and goods, listen to minstrels, acts and musicians, watch belly dance and firedance performances, fight life-sized dragons, get a reading from a local psychic, have tea with the Queen, eat wonderful renaissance food, attend a Samhain Celebration, (Samhain is a Celtic Holiday from the period), play games, do some pirating... or learn how to, fight knights, watch live steel combat, get your photo(s) taken and just enjoy the scenery and the atmosphere. |

Directed by New York Times Crossword Puzzle Editor Will Shortz, this is the nation's oldest and largest crossword competition. Solvers tackle eight original crosswords created and edited specially for this event. Scoring is based on accuracy and speed. Prizes are awarded in more than 20 categories, including a $4,000 grand prize. Evening games, guest speakers, and a wine and cheese reception allow solvers to meet each other in a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere.
